Kyle Mueller, MD

Originally from Texas, Dr. Mueller completed his neurosurgery residency training at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He then completed a complex spine fellowship with focus on spinal oncology and endoscopic spine surgery at Brown University in Rhode Island where he is currently a neurosurgical attending. Starting in July 2021 he will be joining the University of Pennsylvania Department of Neurosurgery as an Assistant Professor. He focuses his practice on brain tumors as well as complex and minimally invasive spine surgery. He has particular interest in spinal oncology as well as developing better strategies to enhance the quality and value of spine care delivered to patients. He has won several grants and authored numerous book chapters and manuscripts including most recently the largest prospective study to date evaluating closed-incisional negative pressure therapy and spine surgery.
